Designing For Hope, The Story

Designing For Hope, The Story

Welcome to my blog, Designing For Hope. Ten years ago, when I started my jewelry business, Designing For Hope was my tagline. As my business has grown, I felt like I needed branding that was a little more clear about what I do. So, after listening to many of my customers tell me how much they loved wearing my designs, I decided that 'Jewelry you love to wear' gave someone a better idea of what my business was about. But the thing is, my business isn't JUST about jewelry. My creativity blossomed when it met my passion... Hope.

My favorite quote about hope is this, "Hope is being able to see that there is light, despite all the darkness." Desmond Tutu

You can click and read my STORY but essentially, my passion was birthed when, on mission trips to Swaziland, in Africa, people would often say, "We have hope because you came." I've come to believe the human heart hungers for hope, a glimmer of light in whatever our own darkness may be. And each one of us can be that glimmer to another, in the everyday moments of life...

So my blog is dedicated to hope. In this world there is so much sorrow and heartache, but I believe there is ALWAYS hope, there is always a glimmer of light, even in the darkest nights. I want my blog to be a place where you can be reminded that there is light, even when it's hard to see. I want to do whatever I can to encourage you to be who you were created to be... AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL YOU!

Sometimes it will be about fashion, a story behind my jewelry pieces, and sometimes it will go deeper. Faith is so important to me, but whether you share the same faith or not, I believe that faith lessons can make a difference in everyone's life. So I'll share some of the lessons I'm learning, in hopes that it will make a difference to you.

We are all in this life together, I hope you'll follow along and even tell me your stories in the comments, or send me an email at lovetowear@sharlajewelry.com. Till next time... be the light in someone's day.
